Pocket diaper with AWJ Nattens Guldpunkter

A soft and comfortable pocket diaper with AWJ (also known as Coolmax). The diaper is One Size and fits babies from approximately 4 to 16 kilograms. All babies have different body shapes, so the diaper can fit both earlier and later stages. With the buttons on the front of the diaper, it's easy to adjust the size. The vertical buttons help adjust the height of the diaper, with three different settings. The horizontal buttons help adjust the size around the waist and the baby's thighs. There are many different variations available. The diaper can also be snapped "diagonally", meaning tighter or looser around the waist than around the thighs, making it easy to achieve the right fit. The outer layer consists of PUL (polyurethane laminate), making the diaper waterproof. PUL is colorfast and will not fade with washing. The diaper also features tabs on the shell for closure. At Green Poppy, we use soft, stretchy tabs on our pocket diapers.

At the back, there is a secure back elastic. The back elastic ensures that the diaper fits comfortably on the child, but it's also one of the best features of a cloth diaper – the poop barrier! The sturdy elastic helps keep the poop in and significantly reduces the risk of leakage. There are also elastics around the child's thighs to further reduce the risk of leakage. The inside of the diaper consists of a pocket where inserts can be placed. The pocket has openings from both the back and front. Each opening is concealed by a PUL panel, which also helps reduce the risk of leaks. The top of the pocket (the part closest to the child's skin) is made of AWJ, a stay-dry layer that keeps the child feeling cool and dry when they've urinated. AWJ is also perfect for summer as it wicks away moisture and heat.

Inserts

The diaper comes with two inserts. One longer insert made of a blend of cotton and three layers of bamboo. This insert is folded to the desired length, and due to its length, it can be adjusted to fit the diaper of all sizes. When folding the insert in half, it becomes a total of six layers of bamboo for absorption! Since cotton and bamboo absorb liquid relatively quickly, this insert is usually placed inside the pocket on top. The insert can also be placed directly against the child's skin if you prefer not to use the stay-dry layer.

The second insert included is a shorter insert made of a blend of cotton and three layers of hemp. The outer layer of the insert is made of soft terry cloth. This is a super-absorbent insert! The insert holds a large amount of liquid and can be used overnight as well. By combining the short and long inserts, you have a diaper that lasts a long time and can absorb a large amount of liquid!

On the inside of the diaper, there is also the possibility to attach an insert with a snap at the back of the diaper. This allows you to attach extra inserts over the pocket to increase absorption once again. Our inserts made of bamboo Terry fits perfect for this!

Washing

Please note that all inserts need to be washed 3-5 times before reaching their maximum absorption, and that the inserts shrink by approximately 10% after the first wash.

After use, the inserts are removed from the diaper, and everything is washed together. Diapers and inserts can be washed at 60 degrees Celsius. It is best to air dry them for optimal results, but the inserts can also be tumble dried on low heat. Products with PUL should not be tumble dried. Read more about washing here.
