SIO (snap-in-one) means you snap the absorbent insert inserts directly into a waterproof cover. Once the insert inserts are snapped in place, you have a complete cloth nappy ready for use. Green Poppy’s insert inserts are made from incredibly soft bamboo terry fabric and have a button at one end, ensuring they stay securely in place in the cover even when your child is moving around a lot.
The main advantage of a SIO nappy system is that it is a very economical and sustainable system. When changing a nappy, in most cases you only need to change the insert and can continue to use the same outer cover several times. The outer cover only needs changing once it has become soiled with poo or if it feels unpleasant. This means fewer outer covers in the wash and less wear and tear over time.
For optimal absorption, we recommend using two insert pads in each nappy. This gives a total of eight layers of bamboo, which work together to provide high absorbency and effective moisture management. A combination that is suitable for both daytime use and for children who wet themselves frequently.
Green Poppy’s diaper cover nappies are soft, flexible and comfortable for your baby. They are one-size-fits-all and suitable from around 4 kilos up to around 20 kilos, thanks to clever adjustable fastenings. Elasticated panels at the back and around the legs ensure a good fit and help contain even the worst nappy accidents.
