The Expertise
Personal knowledge as a mother combined with professional, learned knowledge from my profession as a midwife. I know what it's like to hold your newborn child and feel the desire to do everything to protect them.
The Product
During the time Green Poppy was created, extensive work was done to find the right producer for the products. The right producer is crucial. How many samples did I order? I don't know, enough to establish a friendly relationship with the FedEx delivery person, at least. Top quality and nothing less. The products should be sustainable and able to withstand washing, over and over again.
They should also be easy to use. And fun to use. You should want to use these products. No fuss, just a good, robust product, plain and simple.
As a customer, you should also feel that you can buy everything you need from one place. You shouldn't have to search multiple websites to find a complete system.
Our pocket diapers can be used as a pocket, but also as an AIO if that suits you better. Versatility is important for Green Poppy. The diapers should also be appreciated by one more person, that tiny, little human you always want to protect and give the best to. Your child. The products should be comfortable, not chafe or hinder your child's development. Being able to move freely, play, and explore the world is a given.
All products made of PUL, cotton, and/or bamboo are manufactured from materials that meet the requirements according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

Visionen – Ambitionen
Why was Green Poppy started? The answer is simple but perhaps lengthy. I'll try to keep it brief, but unfortunately, brevity isn't my strong suit.
Green Poppy was started with the vision that cloth diapers should become the first choice of diapers for all parents and their children. Yes, it's about aiming for the moon and landing in the treetops, as they say. A vision to make cloth diapers more accessible and not something strange or deviant. Why do we want cloth diapers to be the first choice? Because I like to think about the footprint I leave in the world and the kind of world I leave for the dearest ones I have, my children. The Earth is burning. Sometimes literally. We are depleting all the resources available. The buy-and-throw-away society serves no purpose. We must start planning and thinking more sustainably. The future is happening now.
Det handlar också om de som är mest sårbara och inte kan påverka sin miljö – alla djur och alla som lever i det vilda. Träd. Blommor. Insekter. Den biologiska mångfalden. Att de inte ska behöva utsättas för sopbränning, nerskräpning, föroreningar. Plastprodukter som slängs i naturen och tar hundratals år att bryta ner.
The Expertise and the Experience
Two beloved diaper babies, mostly cloth diapers, but we have definitely tried disposable diapers as well. In addition to personal experience, I also have knowledge about children, the body, and well-being from my education and in my profession as a certified midwife. As a midwife, we work with the woman and everyone around her in her life. We also work with a sustainable mindset and dare to be innovative. Through research, we see that the body benefits from natural materials and that the body can react negatively in various ways to synthetic materials, such as prolonged exposure to plastic products.
As a mother, I've seen how my firstborn daughter got rid of all the troublesome irritation and all the red rashes when we switched to cloth diapers. It was absolutely amazing to see. And to see her take her first steps, with a big, fluffy cloth diaper, was absolutely adorable!
We were also new parents and were facing a major financial adjustment by starting to live on parental leave benefits. How would we manage it? What could we do to save money? Switching to cloth diapers helped save our finances every month! It was such a relief not to worry about buying new diapers and to know that we had diapers at home for the entire diaper period.
