Cloth Nappy Week 2026
Cloth Nappy Week 2026 – a week to discover cloth nappies
Between 27 April and 3 May, it's time for Reusable Nappy Week 2026. A week that highlights reusable nappies, spreads knowledge, and inspires more people to dare to try. Reusable Nappy Week, or RNW, takes place internationally across the globe, and many brands and companies are very involved in the week.
Whether you already use cloth nappies or are just curious, this is the perfect opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and perhaps take the first step.
What is Cloth Diaper Week?
Cloth Nappy Week is an annual week that focuses on showcasing cloth nappies as a modern, functional, and sustainable alternative. During the week, tips, experiences, and inspiration are shared from both parents and businesses.
There's a lot of activity on social media and many companies have various campaigns and sales throughout the week. Of course, Green Poppy has them too! With the code ”RNW2026”You’ll get a 20% discount on your entire purchase, until 3 May.”.
Why cloth diapers?
For many, it starts with the environment. Reducing waste in everyday life is a strong motivator (8,000 disposable nappies during the entire nappy period). But there are also many more fantastic benefits to cloth nappies:
- to have control over what is closest to the child's skin
- to avoid perfume and unnecessary additives
- to be able to use the same nappies over and over again
But apart from the environmental aspect, I’d say that the financial side of things – saving money by using cloth nappies – is a major factor. Did you know that you can save over 20,000 kronors by going all in on cloth nappies?
Tips for you who are curious
If you're considering trying cloth nappies during Cloth Nappy Week, here are some simple tips:
Start small
You don't need to change everything at once. A few nappies are enough to test. Buy one and see how you like it!
Find your own rhythm
There's no right way. Experiment until it feels right for everyday life. Perhaps you'd like to use cloth nappies during the day at home? Or maybe just at night, how convenient!
Make it easy
You don't need to make a fuss. A simple routine goes a long way. Use, wash, dry. Over and over again.
Dare to ask
There is a large community around cloth nappies. Many have been beginners and are happy to help. I can highly recommend the fb group "Tygblöjor" (Cloth Nappies) which Bloody uprising driver. What a lovely group!
Tips for you who are already using cloth nappies during cloth nappy week
The cloth nappy week is also a good opportunity to:
- Review your laundry routine
- try new combinations
- share your experiences with others
- Inspire someone who is just starting out
Small steps go a long way
It's easy to feel like you have to do everything or nothing. But that's not the case. Every cloth nappy used instead of a disposable nappy makes a difference. If you use 1 cloth nappy a day for a year, you'll have saved 365 disposable nappies.
Honestly, I read an article about how many nappies a child uses in their first month and it's completely crazy! A newborn baby can use (at least) 10 nappies a day. Multiply that by 30 days and you get 300 nappies – in a month! Straight into the bin. Totally mad!
