What's happening at Green Poppy – period pants or not?

Spring is finally here and everything and everyone is starting to come to life a bit more. So too is the idea-spewing brain behind Green Poppy (aka she who does everything else too, but the ideas have been a bit dormant).

Earlier on social media

A few days ago, I did a ”light” market research on Instagram, looking into which products my customers want to see soon at Green Poppy. The answer was very clear – you want to see reusable sanitary products at Green Poppy. So, this is great fun!

The follow-up question was then whether you would like to see cloth pads, period underwear, or perhaps menstrual cups or similar? This was where you were quite unanimous – cloth pads and period underwear came out on top.

It's so good to hear, because I've genuinely had a vision for a long time (since the start) to launch period pants or washable pads at Green Poppy. The reason we don't have them yet is, of course, financial. Everything costs money, and resources aren't unlimited. However, I'm working hard to be able to launch reusable menstrual products within a reasonable future. I don't think I can say a near future, but still, a reasonable future.

Market research regarding menstrual underwear and cloth pads

A proper market research report will be released soon regarding this. And I know, I do them every now and then. I haven't actually seen any of my industry colleagues doing market research, so maybe it's a bit odd to do? But for me, it's so important; how else can I know what my customers want if I only go by myself? Larger companies have big teams working on product development, here at Green Poppy, it's just me.

So market research is the shit, I really think so. And I'm really so, so, so excited to be able to, in the foreseeable future, develop period pants or cloth pads. What do you say, is that something you're longing for at Green Poppy? Bloody uprising Can you already see where to find period pants or cloth pads from other decent Swedish entrepreneurs.

Until then, please see our various Pull-through bags that can store menstrual products in, if you are using them today.

All is well,
Emma
